I got my first Boxer in 1989 strictly as a pet for company and protection. I actually knew nothing about Boxers, but it didn't take long before the breed became very dear to my heart. I've had the pleasure of owning five Boxers in the last 19 years.

Sadly, "Chynna" , "Oggie" and "Sabre"are no longer with me, but the memories they gave me will never be forgotten. Oggie and Chynna were two of Canada's Top Obedience Boxers and Working dogs in the past. Sabre had an incredible show career and was Canada's Top Boxer three years in a row, Canada's #4 ALL Breed in 1999 and Canada's Top Obedience Boxer in 2002. He also won "Reserve Winner's Dog" at the American National Specialty....owner-handled by myself!

All of my Boxers are house dogs and certainly are a major part of my life. The time I spend playing and training them has been has very special and rewarding to me. They have all been very successful in the show rings, but it's the closeness I share with them and the memories we've made together that mean more to me than any ribbon. All my Boxers are first and foremost my pets, and the winning they have done is just "icing on the cake".

Rick Deschambault entered my life in 2003. Sabre adored Rick from the first day they met, so I knew that he must be a great guy, as Boxers are a wonderful judge of character! Our wedding was celebrated on August 14,2004 and Sabre secretly was dressed up to suprise us as our "best man". My Boxers have worked their way into Rick's heart, as much as they have mine. Rick really enjoys their unique and comical personalities, is always lending a hand in caring for them and we both can't imagine our life without a Boxer in it. rickdogs

After losing Sabre, we decided to breed his daughter Sabrina who lived in our home. We got a beautiful litter of four and kept Simon. On Sabrina's second litter we kept her daughter Secret. With Sabrina's third litter, we kept Justice Rick and I enjoy travelling to dogshows together, while enjoying our mutual enjoyment of camping.

Thanks to all my Boxers, but especially Sabre, so many friendships have evolved with wonderful people all over the world, who bred to him and adored him as we did. These friendships have lasted for years and some of these people have become some of our closest friends. I will be forever grateful for each and every true friend that my Boxers have brought into my life!

I guess I never realized how my life would change when I became involved with our wonderful friend....the Boxer.

I am a member of the following clubs:
American Boxer Club- since 2003
Boxer Club Of Canada- since 1993
Alberta Boxer Club- Since 1990
